Ube Cream Liqueur Launch

Restaurant ABACA

San Francisco, CA

I was honored to capture the launch of a new premier liquor by Desteleria Barako called Ube Cream Liqueur. In the beautiful islands of the Philippines, their home base is in the beautiful island of B0racay, east of Cebu.

The ube craze here in the United States has become a monster in itself, and now the deep purple hue of the dessert staple of the Philippines has made its way through spirit mixers via a cream base (like Bailey’s, but better!). Their stylish bottle shaped like an erlenmeyer flask (yes, there’s proof of my nerdy science background) is an eye catcher in the back of the shelves and stands out on its own. Foodies and food influencers made their way to ABACA in San Francisco; a perfect venue of modern Filipino food mixed in with everything purple, especially the mixed ube drinks.

Take it from me, I had one of the mixers that was provided during the launch and it’s a creeper! I’m just glad that none of my shots came out blurry!

Thank you to the team at WeSparq for hosting the event (second to last photo) and the proprietors of Desteleria Barako (last photo) who made an appearance for their award winning product.
